It all begins when he discovers a murder case involving the destruction of synthetic drugs, prompting him to launch a thorough investigation. They are assigned to take down Joo Seong-cheol (Lee Joon-hyuk), the son of a wealthy businessman whoallies with Japanese gangsters and often stirs up trouble in Korea by engaging in heinous criminal activities.
Ricky (Aoki Munetaka), a Japanese distributor, and his gang also come to Korea to further complicate the already chaotic situation. Ma Dong-seok, the film's lead actor and executive producer, mentioned that No Way Out offers something new compared to the two previous films. "This time, we've added more action with punches to bring a fresh touch.
The comedy is also better, and the dual villains add to the excitement," said Ma Dong-seok some time ago.
The Roundup: No Way Out is the third installment in the Korean action franchise that began with The Outlaws (2017), which gathered over 6.87 million viewers.
The story continued with the sequel titled The Roundup, which topped the domestic box office in 2022 with 12.69 million ticket sales. The Roundup also became the first film to attract more than 10 million viewers since the pandemic.

Now, the third installment returns to the big screen. The Roundup: No Way Out is once again directed by Lee Sang-yong, with Ma Dong-seok in the lead role. The film also features Lee Jon-hyuk, Aoki Munetaka, Lee Beom-soo, Kim Min-jae, Jeon Seok-hoo, Ko Kyu-pil, and Park Ji-hwan.
