The film features an exciting adventure theme of a duck family that gets lost. The story is written by the director and Mike White, who wrote The White Lotus and the screenplay for School of Rock.
It tells the story of the adventure and struggle of the Mallard duck family that migrates to Jamaica. But the family faces a challenge from the head of the Mallard family, Mack, who is not happy with the idea of migrating.
Mack feels that he is already in his comfort zone and wants to settle around the New England pond, in the New York city area. But the desire of a large member of the Mallard family still makes him want to adventure.
One of the members of the Mallard family who keeps persuading Mack to migrate is Pam. She persuades Mack to start a journey with his small family to tropical Jamaica.
After successfully persuading him, it turns out that their journey does not go as smoothly as they thought. Mack, Pam, Dan, Dax and a duckling named Gwen have to go through various challenges.
